Specifications & Dimensions
Please note that all measurements are approximate and may vary slightly. Please allow a tolerance of +/- 10mm. We endeavor to ensure that all colours are as accurate as possible, however we always recommend a visit before placing an order.
Fireplace Tiles
All of the tiles suitable for inserts/combinations are hand painted. The crazing that appears within the tile is a natural characteristic for this type of product.
Solid Fuels
If using solid fuels please be aware that they will discolour polished cast iron. If this is a concern we recommend selecting a black finish product. Do not use anthracite or petroleum coke as this will reduce the life of the product significantly.
The fitting must be carried out by a Hetas qualified solid fuel engineer. We at Valley Fireplaces cannot accept any responsibility for products that are not installed in this way. Qualified engineers can be found at www.hetas.co.uk
Gas Fires
All our gas fires are manufactured in the UK and comply with all CE requirements and British standard BSEN509:2000. They come complete with flame failure device and oxygen depletion system. All gas fires must be fitted by a Corgi Registered installer.
Reference : Jig UK.
Fireplace Care
Cast iron is a natural material which is subject to minor imperfections. This is completely natural for the product and should be regarded as part of
it's character. New cast iron fireplaces that are burning solid fuels should be tempered initially by starting with burning smaller fires and gradually building to a larger fire. Valley Fireplaces cannot accept any liability incurred by not following this practice. In order to keep your fireplace in prime condition please follow these simple instructions:
• Highlight polish and black finish fireplaces need a regular coating with an iron paste and buff up to enhance the finish of your fireplace. Do not use any spray on products or any other method to clean.
• Full polish finish fireplaces need to be kept oiled using a thin coat of oil such as 3 in 1 oil. This treatment should be carried out on a regular basis. Any surface rust should be removed using a fine wire wool and then
re-oiled to give the desired appearance. Try to avoid contact with moisture. |
